A fan belt, also known as a drive belt, is a belt connecting your car's engine to the front mounted accessories. The fan belt rotates the water pump and engine fan, which maintains a cool environment for the engine and its components. Sooner or later, your vehicle's fan belts will dry out and crack. Our mechanics will thoroughly inspect your car's belts; replace all worn belts; and adjust the installed belts. When you are ready for a replacement you can count on C&H Garage for all your vehicle's repair needs.
Radiators are heat exchangers for cooling your car's internal combustion engine. A radiator cools the engine by circulating an engine coolant through the engine block - it then loses the heat to the atmosphere through radiation. A radiator has a set of tubes through which the engine coolant flows. Fins surround these tubes. When the radiator fails, the excess heat produced by the engine could damage the engine components. To prevent this from happening, have your radiator serviced regularly. To have your radiator needs handled by experts, visit C&H Garage today.

Brake Pad & Shoe Replacement
Brake pad problems can usually be identified by squealing brakes. If your brake pads deteriorate completely, you'll hear a grinding metal-on-metal sound when braking, meaning that it's too late and you're ruining your rotors or drums! You should always see an auto repair professional immediately if you have brake problems.
In a disc brake system, rotors are attached to your vehicle's wheels. When the brake pads grip the rotor, they bring both the rotor and wheels to a stop. However, the friction causes grooves and cracks to appear over time. Resurfacing brings the rotor back to a "like-new" condition, reducing squealing and wobbling. C&H Garage will give your rotors a thorough inspection and recommend your best course of action.
The brake caliper houses your brake pads and fits around the rotor like a clamp, pressing the pads against the rotor when you brake. A brake caliber problem could cause uneven braking. Uneven braking can also cause your vehicle to slide out of control in bad weather conditions. Contact C&H Garage as soon as possible if you feel any issues when braking.
A brake hose is a tube carrying pressurized brake fluid from the master cylinder to the brakes. A crushed hose can cause a lagged or slow brake, and a leak in the hose can cause the brake, or the entire brake system, to fail. These don't need to be replaced often, but should be replaced at the first sign of cracking or wear.
Brake Fluid Flushes
Brake fluid will absorb water from the air over time, causing the brake system to become less effective and the fluid to become corrosive, possibly damaging the system. It is important to perform a brake fluid flush regularly to ensure that your vehicle is using fresh fluid. Talk to our technicians at C&H Garage about when it's time for a brake fluid flush.
Anti-Lock Brake System
Anti-lock Brake Systems (ABS) ensure that the wheels don't stop rotating during braking, preventing the car from skidding and therefore offering the driver greater control. If your ABS light comes on, visit C&H Garage where we will be happy to diagnose and fix the problem.
From manual to automatic transmission repair, C&H Garage in Orlando, FL 32806 knows how to fix the problem. Our knowledgeable auto experts will diagnose the situation and help you make a decision. Leave the dirty work to us!
Our competitively priced transmission services include:
Automatic Transmissions shift between gears automatically to optimize driving, and changes gears based on the driver's throttle pedal, vehicle speed, engine speed, and vehicle load. Typical automatic transmissions have 4-5 forward gear ratios. Automatic transmission repair is complicated based on all the components that make it up, and you need to have any automatic transmission issues properly assessed by auto mechanics. Call 407.422.4962 to talk to the mechanics of C&H Garage about your transmission problems.
There are clutches in both automatic and manual transmission cars, and different types of clutches. When shifting gears, the clutch engages and disengages from the flywheel and transfers the torque through the transmission. Proper clutch operation should make your vehicle start and shift gears smoothly. The clutch in your car receives a lot of wear and can eventually wear out. If your clutch begins slipping or is making noises when the clutch pedal is depressed or released that are raising suspicion, contact C&H Garage to see if clutch system repair is necessary.
Four-Wheel and All-Wheel Drive Systems
A four-wheel (4x4) drive vehicle has differential gears, both front and rear axles, and a transfer case attached to the transmission. Four-wheel drive vehicles require periodic maintenance on the transfer case, front differentials, rear differentials, and transmission fluids. Visit us for service of your four-wheel drive transmission system.
Front-Wheel Drive Transmission
If your vehicle has Front-wheel drive, the engine drives the front wheels only. The power is routed through the transmission to the final drive where it is split and sent to the two front wheels through the drive axles. The engine, transmission, and additional hardware is all located in the front of the car. Stop by C&H Garage in Orlando, FL and will gladly repair your front-wheel drive transmission.
Driving a vehicle with a Manual Transmission requires using the clutch pedal and gear shift to manually shift gears based on the speed of the vehicle. Typically, manual transmissions require less maintenance then automatic transmissions. At C&H Garage, our auto mechanics can diagnose your vehicle and then recommend the transmission repair or transmission service you need to ensure safety and improve the lifetime of your vehicle.
A transfer case is a part of a four wheel drive system found in four wheel drive and all wheel drive vehicles. The transfer case receives power from the transmission and sends it to both the front and rear axles. The majority of transfer cases manufactured today are chain driven. The transfer case is connected to the transmission and also to the front and rear axles by means of drive shafts. Call C&H Garage and speak to one of our automotive experts for all your All-Wheel Drive or 4x4 repairs.
Service, Diagnose and Repair
Transmission repair is not something to take lightly. Transmission services include replacing filters and draining fluids to prevent transmission damage. Transmission Service - Filter Change - GOOD
When we change the filter we start by removing the transmission filter pan. Then we clean the sediment from the pan and replace the transmission fluid filter. The pan is then reinstalled with a new gasket and the transmission refilled to the full level on the dipstick.Pros - This service replaces the filter and allows us to clean the debris from the pan.Cons - This service doesn't replace the fluid in the torque converter and only replaces three to five quarts of fluid on most vehicles.
Transmission Flush - BETTER
A Transmission Flush is started by removing the cooler line and running the vehicle while adding new fluid. We flush new fluid through the transmission completely replacing the old fluid. Once the fluid out of the cooler line until it is clean, we adjust the fluid to the proper fill level and replace the filter and pan gasket.

The following are some of the engine maintenance services we offer:
Fuel InjectionFuel injection is a system for admitting fuel into an engine. Since 1990, fuel injectors have completely replaced carburetors as the primary means of getting gasoline into the engine. A fuel injector atomizes the fuel by forcibly pumping it through a small nozzle (under high pressure). Failure of the fuel injection system means poor performance. To make sure your vehicle's fuel injection system is maintained properly call 407.422.4962 or visit C&H Garage today.
An ignition system is a system for igniting (using an electric spark) a mixture of fuel and air in a gasoline engine. A properly working ignition system means a properly starting engine and high performance from your car. For all your ignition system maintenance and replacement needs, call or visit C&H Garage today.
Ignition Wires & Cables
Ignition cables also known as spark plug wires are an important part of your car's ignition system. They transfer the spark from the ignition coil to spark plugs that ignite the mixture of fuel and air. Over time, ignition wires and cables deteriorate and break down. This makes it impossible for the spark to reach the engine cylinders. This results in the engine misfiring and running poorly. Common symptoms of faulty ignition cables and wires are: poor gas mileage, engine misfires, engine light is on, and engine may vibrate. Call or visit C&H Garage in Orlando, FL 32806 if your car needs new ignition cables and wires and let our top-rated mechanics take care of the problem.
A spark plug delivers electric current to the combustion chamber from the ignition system. Spark plugs that haven't been changed for a long time can cause ignition problems. Normal driving will cause motor oil to become contaminated with wear metals, water and even fuel. Every three months or 3,000 miles, your vehicle should be ready for an oil change. Check your owner's manual for the specific recommendations for your vehicle.

Everything starts with your battery - literally. The power from your battery is needed to start your engine, as well as run the secondary electrical systems of your vehicle. When the combined electrical load of your lights, stereo, air conditioning and other systems surpasses the capability of the charging system, the battery provides the extra electrical power required by storing the energy generated by the alternator.
To keep everything moving, keep your battery in good condition. Before cold weather starts and at least once a month in hot weather, maintain your battery by:
Keeping the correct electrolyte levels, Tightening loose hold-down clamps and terminals, Removing corrosion, Checking the alternator belt tension and wear
Call or stop by C&H Garage to have one of our service technician check for you. They'll be glad to help.
Identifying Battery Problems
There are ways to tell that you may have battery problems: Electrical systems, including stereo, power windows, lights and air conditioning, do not work, Electrical systems work but occasionally cut out or operate "dimly", Vehicle is slow to start, Vehicle needs a jump to start, Battery light on dashboard is lit
When it is time for a new battery, C&H Garage can replace and properly dispose of your existing battery.
Caution: Automotive batteries contain sulfuric acid. Sulfuric acid is poisonous and highly corrosive. Because of this, care should be taken as sulfuric gasses are produced when a battery is recharged and could cause an explosion if ignited. When working with automotive batteries, work in a well-ventilated area and exercise caution. Remove any jewelry, loose clothing and wear protective eye wear. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for any battery maintenance or recharging.
Rotate and Balance
You can make your tires last longer with regular tire rotation and wheel balancing. In normal driving, your front tires wear more on the shoulders because they handle much of the cornering forces in turns. Front-wheel drive vehicles have even more force on the front tires.
C&H Garage rotates the tires so that all of the tires do some duty on the front end as well as getting a little break on the back end. That way, all four tires wear more evenly over their life and last longer. For most vehicles, tires are rotated front to back. Some manufacturers recommend a cross rotational pattern that includes the spare tire and some high-performance vehicles have different size tires on the front and rear and may even have uni-directional tires that can only be on the left or the right side of the vehicle. One of our technicians at C&H Garage can help you sort that out and will perform the right tire rotation for your vehicle. Your tire manufacturer will have a recommendation for how often you should rotate your tires. It's usually somewhere around 5,000 to 8,000 miles.
That's when there are heavy spots on the tire and wheel that cause it a bit of wobble. Balancing adds weights to the wheel to balance it out. Now, we are talking about very small weight differences. Variations in the tire and wheel manufacture can cause a slight imbalance. The valve stem, and now the tire pressure monitoring sensors in the tire, also play into the equation. Even small differences can cause annoying vibrations at speed: the wheel is essentially bouncing a bit as it goes down the road.
If a front wheel's out of balance you'll feel the vibration through the steering wheel. When it's a rear tire, you'll feel the vibration through your seat. If you're getting bad vibes from your vehicle, bring it in to C&H Garage and let us check to see if it's a balance issue or something else. You should balance your wheels whenever you get a new tire or remount a tire like when it's been removed for a flat repair.
Normal wear from road conditions can alter the alignment settings from vehicle manufacturers' specifications. Whenever you install new tires, or whenever your alignment is off (most noticeable when your vehicle starts pulling to one side), a Wheel Alignment Service will get your car back to its original manufacturer specifications.
What is a wheel alignment?
When your wheels are aligned, the wheel angles are corrected to manufacturer guidelines. The wheels should be perpendicular to the ground and parallel to each other.
What are the problems caused by misaligned wheels?
A vehicle out of alignment wears out its tires faster and burns more fuel per mile. While the most obvious symptom of misaligned wheels is when your vehicle starts pulling to one side, your wheels may be out of alignment even before you notice any problems with handling.
What can I expect when I have a wheel alignment performed?
In addition to comparing and correcting the alignment of your wheels against the original manufacturer's guidelines, C&H Garage will also: Inspect the steering and suspension components, Examine the tires for size, inflation and wear.
The suspension system bears the weight of your vehicle, keeps your tires on the road and helps you experience a smooth, controlled ride. Road conditions cause the wearable components to weaken over time reducing their effectiveness and potentially affecting tire wear. Suspension parts in need of repair can cause improper handling and braking. Steering and Suspension Service at C&H Garage involves replacement of worn, damaged or missing steering and suspension parts that are not performing as intended.
When you bring in your vehicle for steering and suspension services to the certified experts and technicians at C&H Garage you get a complete system evaluation, which includes:
Thoroughly inspecting all shocks, struts, and springs for signs of wear or damage, Replacing worn, damaged, or missing steering or suspension parts that are not performing as intended. Other suspension repairs as needed to get you back on the road safely. Because replacement of steering and suspension parts may change existing wheel angles, a wheel alignment is recommended with this service.
Why is it important to service my steering & suspension parts?
Your vehicle's steering and suspension is responsible for providing optimal ride comfort and handling performance. Because normal road conditions can cause the shocks, struts, and springs of your suspension system to weaken over time, these worn suspension parts may reduce vehicle stability and driver control. They may also accelerate tire wear.
How do I know when it's time to have my steering & suspension system checked?
Most manufacturers recommend a steering and suspension system check every 50,000 mi (80,000 km). However, if you notice any of the following warning signs, you might want to let our experienced technicians at C&H Garage inspect your shocks and struts sooner:
Excessive noise when driving over bumps, a harsh, bumpy, or shaky ride, Extreme bouncing and wandering, Crooked steering wheel, Your tires are wearing unevenly
